It's been way too long since I've updated anything here. So here's a tiny update:

I started a new job at a call center not too long ago. It's deadly dull and boring to the point of mental anguish. So rather then just go made while waiting for people to pick up their phones I decided it was best to use all that down time to sketch. I bought myself a lil notebook and doodle. I've tried to ink the pieces while at work (that's how dull it is). Once in a while, I'll sketch something out that just can't be inked at work, so I've done it here at home. It's all good. My supervisors don't seem to care so long as the job gets done and I get to keep my sanity! HAZZAH!

I've been participating in an animation documentary called The Boing Heard Around the World about the UPA Animation Studios during their Golden Age. Hopefully that will be done by next summer/fall and it will be released to film festivals and hopefully a theater or two. Unfortunately I can't really say much about the project other then that...
I know that the goals have already been reached, but if you'd like some more info you can check out the Kickstarter video (with a teacher of mine) here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/u…
and here: upapix.com

I've been trying to work on a series of Animated Girl Pin-ups. I need to work on those a little harder since I've only got one finished piece and one inked thus far. I need to bust my hump on that more.

Ummm, what else? I'm just trying to get into the habit of actually finishing illustrations up to a final colored version. I need more finished pieces to show off. It's hard for me since I LOVE LOVE ADORE unfinished pieces. I love to see flowy pencils and rough sketches much more then something that has color to it. I don't know, there's just something about roughs and sketches and doodles that seem to have more life to them then an actual finished piece. But I digress, I need finished pieces in my portfolio as well.

Umm... that's pretty much it for now. So I guess, have a happy Labor Day weekend everyone!!!

Thank you very much ^_^

As of Jan. 2014, the fancomic/doushinji has been on hold because Misaki (the author) is away in grad school. I'd continue on my own, but she is actually very much involved with the small details of the comic. I like to have her input because she understands and corrects many of my tiny mistakes and is the one who gives me the sound effects for the panels. Hopefully she'll be back with us sometime soon and we could get this show on the road again.

Ahh~ Eeni, I just thought I'd drop by to let you know that your artwork is so incredibly inspiring! I especially love your manga adaptation of misaki-toyodome's CLT - it is absolutely beautiful beyond all words! I love the way you draw characters in all your drawings. There is this wonderful, almost indescribable nuance in your art style that breathes such incredible life and humanity into them - their expressions, their gestures, their mere presence on the page is extraordinarily radiant and wonderfully captivating.

I was reading your latest CLT chapter and my brother walked in to see what I was up to and he said, "Oh you found a new manga to read?" He was absolutely convinced I had found an English translation of a published Japanese manga. So believe it or not, you're a full-fledged mangaka now! You are such an incrediblly talented artist, and I look forward to seeing much more of your lovely art.

moonflower~salmon heart bullet  Keep up the amazing work!

LOL! I'm glad to hear that my style looks close enough to a real manga! Give your brother a hug for me, for his kind words!

And thank you very much for your kind words and compliments. I got a note about the interview you did here on DA. It makes me both really happy and uber sad to hear about how your love for anime being looked down upon and how it depressed you. I hear you, loud and clear. But I'm very happy to see that you decided to do what you love and you're doing it passionately! I wish you luck and much fortune in the future, but above all, just passion to keep doing what you love to do ^_______^

And again, thank you for you words of encouragement and I will hopefully get back to CLT... as soon as I can dig Mio out of the piles of books she's no doubt buried under.

You're most welcome, dear! And thank you for your kind words and support as well, it really means a lot to me. Aww, poor Mio. I hope you can track her down (grab your hard hat and shovel and dig, Eeni, dig~!), as it sounds like she needs a well-deserved break from graduate school. It's so great to see two fantastically talented and creative individuals working together to create such amazing collaborative art. Every time you two have a new creative project going, it inspires me to no end, and I can't help but pick up my own brush and draw.

In the meantime, I very much look forward to your own lovely drawings and fun series of Gundam comics. Haha, and I shall indeed give my brother a hug for you.
