It's been way too long since I've updated anything here. So here's a tiny update:
I started a new job at a call center not too long ago. It's deadly dull and boring to the point of mental anguish. So rather then just go made while waiting for people to pick up their phones I decided it was best to use all that down time to sketch. I bought myself a lil notebook and doodle. I've tried to ink the pieces while at work (that's how dull it is). Once in a while, I'll sketch something out that just can't be inked at work, so I've done it here at home. It's all good. My supervisors don't seem to care so long as the job gets done and I get to keep my sanity! HAZZAH!
I've been participating in an animation documentary called The Boing Heard Around the World about the UPA Animation Studios during their Golden Age. Hopefully that will be done by next summer/fall and it will be released to film festivals and hopefully a theater or two. Unfortunately I can't really say much about the project other then that...
I know that the goals have already been reached, but if you'd like some more info you can check out the Kickstarter video (with a teacher of mine) here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/u…

I've been trying to work on a series of Animated Girl Pin-ups. I need to work on those a little harder since I've only got one finished piece and one inked thus far. I need to bust my hump on that more.
Ummm, what else? I'm just trying to get into the habit of actually finishing illustrations up to a final colored version. I need more finished pieces to show off. It's hard for me since I LOVE LOVE ADORE unfinished pieces. I love to see flowy pencils and rough sketches much more then something that has color to it. I don't know, there's just something about roughs and sketches and doodles that seem to have more life to them then an actual finished piece. But I digress, I need finished pieces in my portfolio as well.
Umm... that's pretty much it for now. So I guess, have a happy Labor Day weekend everyone!!!
